To verify eligibility and provide a safe, supportive community, Nurses Forum may collect the following personal information:

  • Full name and email address

  • AHPRA nursing registration number (for verification of workshops/seminars/events only)

  • Chosen nickname or pseudonym (to enable anonymous participation)

  • Forum posts, survey responses, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity records (where applicable)

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide and improve our services.

2. Use of Your Information (APP 6)

Your personal information is used strictly for purposes you would reasonably expect, including:

  • Verifying your eligibility to access nurse-only spaces

  • Sending newsletters or updates (only with your explicit consent)

  • Tracking participation for CPD accreditation

  • Ensuring the safety, integrity, and proper functioning of the Nurses Forum platform

We do not sell, trade, or disclose your personal information to third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

3. Anonymity and Pseudonymity (APP 2)

To protect your privacy, Nurses Forum allows you to participate anonymously by using a nickname or pseudonym. While we collect your real name and registration number for verification, this information is never publicly linked to your posts or activity on the platform.

Nurses Forum takes your data security seriously. Personal information is stored securely using encryption, password protection, and restricted access to authorised personnel only. We implement reasonable measures to safeguard your information from misuse, interference, loss, or unauthorised access.

  • Request corrections if your information is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated
